Lorraine Bowen’s CRUMBLE SONG gets a Punk’d Up Version

Lorraine Bowen’s iconic Crumble Song has a new version – the Punk’d Up Version. Released on streaming platforms on 1st December 2023. A great addition to BGT fans and punk fans alike.
It’s titled – Crumble Song – Punk’d Up Version featuring The Veltmans.
Recorded live at the iconic Echo Zoo Studios (Eastbourne’s answer to Abbey Road), it features indie thrash band, The Veltmans.
Sounding like The Sex Pistols and Undertones, the Crumble Song Punk’D Up is hilarious as it is brilliantly executed.
The Veltmans indie band comprises razor vocals and guitar by Will Stephens, Bass by George Hamer and Drums by Hugo Birt.
You can hear the team letting rip in the recording booths, tearing the analogue volume controls apart and having extreme fun with the cover version.

Lorraine Bowen met the band after a local gig in Eastbourne where she now resides. She was enamoured with their musical freshness, technical ability, and impeccable manners. She asked them to help her with a remix for the mobile game music she is composing and they were up for it. During a rehearsal dip the band launched into the Crumble Song and they decided to perform the song for an upcoming gig. Lorraine dressed up for the occasion in her Britain’s Got Talent silver foil outfit and the audience went wild. So did she, and accidentally slipped on some cables and fell backwards into the drum kit. Luckily, she bounced back resulting in the recorded video going viral on social media.
Broken guitar strings, sore throats and stingy fingers were the result of the recorded session with David Lynch, media composer and owner of Echo Zoo Studios. Lorraine is thrilled to have met the band and will be giving them a masterclass in songwriting and pop stardom later in the month.

Crumble Song – Punk’d Up Version featuring The Veltmans is available on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music and all streaming platforms on December 1st, 2023.

Lorraine Bowen won David Walliams’ golden buzzer award on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent series 9. This has led to her being nicknamed ‘The Crumble Lady’ and has generated many opportunities including writing seven albums, a children’s book called ’The Crumble Lady’ and gained thousands of fans worldwide.
